BUNDALEER FESTIVAL

The Bundaleer Festival is held every two years. The first weekend occurred in 1999. The concert features many high calibre South Australian performers as well as the opportunity to try fine foods and wine. Contact the Bundaleer Festival Office on: 8664 0455 or www.bundaleerfestival.com.au 

JAMESTOWN EASTER TENNIS TOURNAMENT

Another event held annually inJamestownis the Easter Tennis Tournament, which is held over the four days of the Easter Weekend.  It is a well-known event throughout the state, and encourages many players and spectators. Contact Annie Kelly on 8664 1034 for more information.

JAMESTOWNFLY-IN & AIR SPECTACULAR

The Jamestown Fly-In and Air Spectacular is held every three years attracting visitors and aircraft from all over the country. The two day fly-in features a variety of visiting and performing aircraft including aerobatic roulettes, a Mustang and War Birds. There are plane, helicopter and hot air balloon rides for all ages, making it a fun event for the whole family. JAMESTOWN MURAL FESTIVAL

Many of Jamestown’s Heritage buildings are adorned with wall murals, depicting the pioneer achievements of early settlers. The Jamestown Mural Festival invites artists to submit a mural that will be displayed in Jamestown’s Main Streetfor the coming year. JAMESTOWN RACE MEETING

The Jamestown Races are held annually at the Jamestown Race Club, which is located on RM Williams Way.  The races are held on the Saturday of the October long weekend and usually boast a good turn out of horses and spectators. JAMESTOWN SHOW

The Jamestown Show was first founded in 1874.  It is an annual show held on the Labour Day public holiday at the Showgrounds, Victoria Park in Jamestown.  It features cattle, sheep and horse demonstrations and competitions. Exhibitions form a large part of the presentation with a trade and machinery display being popular also.  Food and drink stalls are prominent during the day and there are sideshows suitable for all ages. LAURA FOLK FAIR

A unique two day event, The Laura Folk Fair is held annually on the first full weekend in April (unless it should clash with Easter when it becomes the second weekend). Hughes Street in the town of Laura is closed to all vehicular traffic and is lined with craft, hobby, food and refreshment stalls, becoming a Mall in which visitors may wander. LAURA COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL

The 2 day ‘Laura Country’ Music Festival promotes Country Music in the region and exposes local artists/musicians within the local area to advance careers in Country Music and to raise money for community projects. This Event is a unique opportunity to fill a gap in the SA Country Music yearly program by developing a major Country Music event in the Southern Flinders Ranges Region.  GLADSTONE ART EXHIBITION

 The Gladstone Art exhibition is held over a month in the Gladstone Town Hall. It will be open to visitors from 10am to 4pm daily.   A gold coin entry will apply.  The Gladstone Art Exhibition is an initiative of the Gladstone Community Development Association and is regarded as a major event in the town calendar. The Exhibition is open to artists from all over Australia and of any age, although junior artists may enter the open section of the Exhibition there is also section for students of the local Rocky River schools.
