Jamestown Stormwater Management Plan
Jamestown Stormwater Management Plan Consultation
Following heavy rains in 2016, a review of the flood management measures in place for Jamestown was commenced. This led to the development of a draft Stormwater management plan for Jamestown and is the document council has put out to public consultation.
In the document are a range of flood maps and proposed works to minimise flooding in various locations. Council is inviting the general public to review the draft plan, ask questions of council’s Manager Operational Services and Council’s Consultant, and make comment about the proposed plan.
Your comments will be considered and the plan may be amended if the issues raised are significant.
A report on the outcome of the consultation will then be provided to Council with the likelihood of council being asked to consider adoption of the plan. Adoption of the plan leads to the consideration of flood mitigation works identified in the plan being included in future capital works programs to reduce the risk of flooding in different areas of the township.
To answer questions and take comments on the plan, either Council’s Manager Operational services may be contacted on 0417 312 520 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or Council’s Consultant may be emailed at Olivia.email@example.com with comments or questions by 29th June 2020.
A summary report is available below for the public consultation. This is the recommended document for the general public to view.
For more technically minded people, the full draft plan is also available to download below as well.
