Media Release
05 November 2026
It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Mayor Keith Pluckrose.
Keith served our community as an Elected Member from March 2023 and as Mayor from November 2025. During that time, he was passionate about the Northern Areas and worked hard to support the people, projects and communities that make this district such a special place to live.
Keith was especially proud of his connection to Spalding and was actively involved in the community he loved. Whether through local events, community groups or simply lending a hand where it was needed, he made a lasting contribution to the town, the wider Northern Areas and beyond.
On behalf of the Northern Areas Council, I extend my sincere condolences to Keith's family, friends and all those who knew him. Our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time.
Keith's commitment to serving his community will be remembered with gratitude, respect and appreciation.
Flags at Council offices will be flown at half-mast as a mark of respect.
