Clothiers Rd / Horrocks Hwy Intersection Upgrade

The current intersection at Clothiers Road and Horrocks Highway has been identified as unsafe due to its sharp angle—especially for vehicles travelling back into Georgetown. This project is looking at redesigning the intersection to meet current standards, reduce risks for all road users and maintain seasonal vehicle access.

Where Are We Now?

Council has endorsed a preferred location and design for the new intersection. Detailed design work is underway by Council’s engineering consultant. A lower-cost alternative is also being explored by Council staff.

What’s Next?

• Finalise the detailed design and cost estimates.
• Investigate potential grant funding opportunities.
• Present a report to Council with recommendations for moving forward with construction.
