Yacka Road Culvert Crossing

The existing earth culvert crossing in Yacka Road near the intersection with Horrocks Highway has eroded significantly over the years and now represents a risk to road users due to the loss of road barriers and the steepness of the embankment. Temporary safety control measurers are currently in place to ensure the ongoing usage. This project will upgrade the culvert crossing and significantly improve the safety.

Current Progress

Detailed designs and preliminary cost estimates have been completed. A significant proportion of the cost is attributed to the supply and delivery of road-building materials.  These costs have been estimated at commercial rates. Council has access to several low-cost sources of road building materials, and these have been determined to be suitable for this project.
