Community Wastewater Management Systems
Northern Areas Council operates Community Wastewater Management Systems (CWMS) at Jamestown, Laura, Moyletown and Gladstone.
CWMS Pricing
All sewerage billing and prices are incorporated on your Council rates notice as a separate line item.
Consideration is given to limit the total rates and CWMS rates increase to agreed levels as determined by Elected Members. The price increase is determined by operational and maintenance costs and 10 year Asset Management Plans.
2023/24 Annual Service Charges are $531 per occupied property unit and $430 per unoccupied unit.
