Flinders Mobile Library hits the road with a fresh look!

Published 2nd November 2023

After 9 years on the road, it was time for a visual freshen up of the Flinders Mobile Library truck with new signage applied to compliment the recently updated Libraries SA brand.

Colours in the new Libraries SA brand were inspired by councils from all over the state, by tying in with this branding, the library becomes more visible to all South Australian users.

The Flinders Mobile Library is part of Libraries SA, the state wide network of over 130 public libraries that serve our communities across the state. Libraries SA works to create a community for all who seek.

As one of the region's local libraries, the mobile library has provided public services since 1982 across the District Council of Mount Remarkable, Northern Areas Council and Port Pirie Regional Council.

“The Flinders Mobile Library provides connection into community through physical visits to the library as well as the range of e-resources the network provides. The library is an integral part of these communities, visiting 16 towns and 9 schools fortnightly”. Mayor Sue Scarman said

“By using the colours for the Libraries SA brand we aim to make the Library truck a visual beacon for community members across the regions”.

Members of any public library in the state can access the Flinders Mobile Library. Keep an eye out for the new look mobile library in an area near you!
